ARCHTOP ACOUSTIC ELECTRIC GUITAR The VOX Giulietta VGA-3D single cutaway archtop acoustic/electric guitar was designed with the contemporary player in mind. Its unique design features classic archtop styling, yet offers modern playability and state of the art sounds courtesy of VOX’s AREOS-D Digital Modeling System.

Inspired by classic full-hollow archtop guitars, the new Giulietta VGA-3D guitars add sophisticated 21st century modeling technology to bring you versatility and advanced performance in a full-scale, compact instrument. The new VGA-3D is an evolution of the classic, full-hollow archtop guitar.

These all-new compact archtops feature sophisticated electronic technology, allowing for more versatility and performance friendly features when recording or playing live. These guitars also feature VOX’s advanced modeling technology, allowing you to access a range of tones never before imagined.

The AREOS-D Digital Modeling System in the Giulietta VGA-3D puts the player in full control of 18 acoustic and electric modeled sounds.

This sophisticated system incorporates several elements to achieve it’s incredible sound quality: a magnetic pickup for authentic electric guitar models; a piezo pickup system for rich-sounding traditional instruments; a powerful DSP engine for modeled sounds; familiar volume, tone and selector controls and a Control Module that provides instant access to a wide variety of parameters.

The heart of the Giulietta VGA-3D is the VOX AREOS-D Digital Modeling System. The system places a wide range of electric, acoustic and synth models at the player’s instant command. VOX delivers a powerful new tool to the creative musician for live and recording situations. A piezo-equipped Tune-O-Matic style bridge system contributes to sparkling acoustic instrument models with brilliant clarity and wide-ranging harmonic content.    

Giulietta VGA-3D Sound list

*1: The effects for user programs will differ depending on the sound.

*2: For the SITAR, use the TONE knob to adjust the level of the sympathetic strings.

*3: For the SYNTH, unintended sounds may occur if you play chords. In general, you should play only single notes.

*4: For the SUSTAIN, the notes you play are sustained, producing an organ-like sound. To stop the sustain, either play staccato or mute the string.

Acoustic type

Modeled after iconic acoustic guitar sounds, the Giulietta 3PS provides 4 choices between bright and rich jumbo-sized flat-top acoustic models to small-body acoustic models with elegant mids. In addition to these bread-and-butter acoustic sounds, there is also a nylon string model along with a 12-string model, totaling 6 different acoustic guitar tones to broaden your playing style.

Electric type 

The Giulietta 3PS also provides 6 different electric guitar models, ranging from glassy clean to warm and mellow tones. Choose between 3 different humbucker and 3 brighter single coil models that best suit your tonal needs.  

The electric models are built using the sound of the magnetic pickup. Utilizing the specialized DSP, these electric guitar models provide natural nuances and sounds, and exhibit the dynamic response you’d expect from a typical electric guitar.

Drive Control and Reverb

Aside from providing realistic electric and acoustic guitar sounds, the Giulietta VGA-3D adds control of overdrive to electric models and reverb to acoustic+unique models; both in a way that is user-friendly and modifiable in real time. 

Synths

The VGA-3D is the first full-hollow body guitar to seamlessly incorporate authentic, tracking-error-free synthesizer models onboard. Explore softer pad-like sounds to aggressive and iconic synth bass sounds with the addition of unique models like the “Sustain” to expand your tonal pallet.

Special Instruments

Versatility was at the top of the list of necessary attributes when developing the Giulietta VGA-3D. If you want to double on other stringed instruments like banjo, sitar, and resonator guitar, you will no longer have to carry additional gear that will only be used briefly.

Compact Size, Big Tone

Just like the 3P model, the Giulietta 3DS was carefully designed to balance the smaller single cutaway body size and full-scale neck. With this, VOX has been able to create a modern instrument that any player can appreciate, regardless of style.

A piezo-equipped Tune-O-Matic style bridge system contributes to sparkling acoustic instrument models with brilliant clarity and wide-ranging harmonic content. The VOX XLM humbucking pickup produces authentic, touch-sensitive electric instrument models.  This provides unrivaled sonic versatility at the player’s fingertips.

VOX string mute

Like the 3PS model, the 3D comes included with a simple-to-use removable string mute that prevents over-ring, which is synonymous with hollow body guitars with a trapeze style tailpiece. What you’re left with is a pure, clean sound of the guitar and accurate tracking.
